Community Standards

Simple rules that keep everyone safe. Every member agrees to follow them.

🤝

Safety Net is built on trust. We verify our members. We check backgrounds. But rules matter too.

These are the rules. They're simple. They protect everyone.

Six Simple Rules

1

Help Freely

  • Never charge money for help.
  • Never accept payment.
  • If someone insists, tell them to donate to Safety Net.
2

Respect Privacy

  • What happens in someone's home stays private.
  • No photos or videos without permission.
  • Never post about people you help on social media.
3

Be Honest

  • Your profile must be accurate.
  • Don't claim skills you don't have.
  • If you mess up, own it.
4

Stay Safe

  • If it feels dangerous, leave.
  • Don't do more than your training allows.
  • Always call 911 for real emergencies.
5

Respect Everyone

  • Help everyone, regardless of who they are.
  • No politics. No religion. No judgment.
  • No romantic advances. Ever.
6

Protect the Vulnerable

  • Never be alone with someone else's child.
  • Don't give anyone medication.
  • Report abuse. This is mandatory.

Never Do This

These get you removed immediately. No warnings. No second chances.

  • Violence — Hurt or threaten anyone
  • Theft — Take anything that isn't yours
  • Fraud — Lie about who you are
  • Sexual misconduct — Any unwanted contact
  • Exploitation — Take advantage of anyone
  • Intoxication — Help while drunk or high
  • Discrimination — Refuse to help based on who someone is
  • Selling — Charge money for anything
